Our lavender and lavandin macerates and balms are made in France with respect for the environment and the rules of organic farming.

Yes, organic lavender macerate and balm are generally well tolerated by sensitive skin. Lavender is renowned for its soothing, anti-inflammatory and healing properties, making it a gentle and beneficial ingredient for skin prone to irritation. This type of macerate and balm can help calm redness and itching, and improve healing of small wounds or skin irritations.

However, as with any natural product, it is advisable to test on a small area of skin before using on larger surfaces, to ensure there is no allergic reaction or irritation.

Lavender macerate and balsam and lavandin macerate and balsam are both infused oils, but they differ mainly in the plant used to make them, which influences their properties and uses.

Properties :

• Lavender macerate: Particularly appreciated for its soothing, anti-inflammatory, healing and antiseptic properties. It is ideal for sensitive, irritated or acne-prone skin. True lavender is also renowned for its relaxing effects on the nervous system.
• Lavandin macerate: Although it shares certain properties with lavender, lavandin is often considered less powerful therapeutically. It is, however, more stimulating than relaxing, and can be used for its antiseptic, antifungal and decongestant properties. Lavandin also has a more camphoraceous scent than true lavender.

Applications :

• Lavender macerate: Because of its gentleness, lavender macerate is often preferred for sensitive skin and children. It is also used to soothe minor burns and insect bites, and to promote relaxation.
• Lavandin macerate: This macerate is most often used for muscular pains, aches and pains, or respiratory problems, due to its more tonic action. It is also an excellent insect repellent.

Odor :

• Lavender: Sweet, floral, delicate scent.
• Lavandin: More pronounced scent, with a camphorated, herbaceous note.

In short, if you're looking for a macerate to soothe, heal and relax, lavender macerate would be more suitable. For more stimulating or invigorating uses, lavandin macerate might be a better choice.

Delivery in France takes between 3 and 5 working days from the date of your order. There may be longer delays during the Christmas and New Year period. Delivery is free for orders over €59.
